Chattooga Track & Field Shines at State Meet with Champions and Record-Breaking Performances

The Chattooga High School Track and Field team made a powerful impression at the 2025 State Competition, with nine athletes competing in 13 events and earning numerous top finishes. The team returned home with two State Champions and eight Top 5 placements, closing a remarkable season.

Zayden Cook captured the State Championship in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 14.49 seconds, setting a new school record.

Matthew Bryant claimed three third-place finishes in the Triple Jump (44’-3”), 100m Dash (11.15), and 200m Dash (22.95). He also placed 8th in the Long Jump with a mark of 21’-0.5”.

Talia Sanders earned the title of State Champion in the Girls 100m Dash with a time of 12.61 and also placed 4th in the 200m Dash (26.96).

Amiyah Hudgins secured 5th place in the High Jump with a leap of 5’-2”, breaking the previous school record.

The Girls 4x100m Relay team (Talia Sanders, Briasia Morton, Taniya Fife, and Cameryn Smith) raced to a 2nd place finish with a time of 51.21.

Briana Finley placed 9th in the Shot Put with a throw of 34’-8”.

Briasia Morton finished 10th in the Long Jump (15’-6”) and 12th in the 200m Dash (27.21).

Syriah Jones placed 12th in the 400m Dash with a time of 1:03.57.

The Girls 4x200m Relay (Amiyah Hudgins, Syriah Jones, Talia Sanders, Cameryn Smith) finished 11th at 1:03.57.

The Chattooga Girls placed 12th out of 29 scoring teams, while the Boys earned 8th place among 37 teams.
